Service was done every 7000 kms. The previous owner spent over 60’000 ZAR on the car (only labour) because he intended to drive to the UK. All the works have been done in March/May 2010. Since the works have been done the car made approx. 45’000 Km • reconditioning of the engine, turbo unit and gearbox • fiting new brake pads, fuel pump, 5 injectors, suspension, • testing of cylinder leakage ? all 5 cylinders are at 100 % etc. as he intended to travel to the UK (all recipes are available). In order to have a reliable car (we made approx. 19000 Km in 4 month without any kind of problems), we also spend some money on the car prior to our trip. We replaced the probshaft, rearaxels (just the inner shaft), aircondition and sealed and redid the transfer case. On the way we did other minor maintenance work as e.g. replacement of the brake pads, wheelbaring. We are well aware that you will find cheaper cars on this website, but there was a lot of money invested in that specific car (not because all these things did break, but because we and the previous owner wanted to have a very reliable car for the planned trip). Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Tough old workhorse in good condition. Engine is sweet as a nut and has been super dependable. Gearbox doesn't clunk and everything works as it should. New Contis with maybe 2000k on them. Roof rack Hi-lift jack Recent service done. COMES WITH SECOND SET OF MAGS AND GOOD TIRES. Only bad thing I can say about her is 3 paint blemishes as shown in pictures. Vehicle is in Harrismith. Have enough faith in her that if you pay the gas I will deliver her anywhere in Africa.
